Ms. Tischler is the school social Psychologist on the Child Study Team. Her educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland as well as a Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology and a Professional Diploma in School Psychology from New Jersey City University. This is Ms. Tischler's 12th year here at MRHS.
As the school psychologist she is responsible for a case load of about 70 to 80 classified students. Ms. Tischler is also a member of member of the school’s crisis team as well as the I&RS committee.
Ms. Tischler's duties include developing students’ Individualized Education Plans, and ensuring their implementation in the classrooms; providing individual counseling interventions with students as needed; performing psychological assessments as part of the evaluation process to determine a student’s eligibility for services; consistent contact with students to ensure their success in the classroom and socially; parent contact and crisis intervention as needed.
