Board of Education Spotlight - Kathleen Gonzales

MRHS appreciates the members of the Board of Education!  Our next Board of Education Spotlight during School Board Recognition/Appreciation Month falls on Kathleen Gonzales from Haledon.  Ms. Gonzales' record of community service spans for decades.  She has been a resident of Haledon for most of her life and is a graduate of both HPS and MRHS.  She graduated from William Paterson University to pursue her dream of being a teacher.  She served the field of education well for forty years and retired from Rutherford Public Schools as a Learning Consultant.  Over the years, Kathy has supported the Haledon PAL, served on both the HPSD and PC MRHSD Boards of Education, served on the Board of Trustees for the Haledon Library, was a founder of the Haledon Library Education Foundation, and in her personal life, raised an incredible son who graduated from both HPS and MRHS.  Kathy can always be found when help is needed and will lend a hand at any time she is called upon.  Her service continues today on the PC MRHSD Board of Education and our students, staff, and families benefit from her experience and always thoughtful participation.  Being a Board Member is an unpaid work of heart.  We appreciate you and we thank you for your service!
